Terry-san, Candyman-san. It's been quite a long time. How are you two doing? After the Golden week, everything got back to normal, and I'm a little busy with work. Still, because of the earthquake, some of my assigned classes were cancelled and I'm worred if I can survive through the year. In fact, the summer schedule is mostly decided, and I found out I lost some classes I had last year. I think I'll have to look for some more to make a living. Anyway, I'm fine so far. Terry-san. I'd like you to give a try to TOEFL iBT. I'm always wondering how much, people like you, extremely good English speakers can get in the exam. With my English level now, I don't think I possibly get over 100. I believe you can make it easily though. I also want to try TOEIC again, but now I teach class every Sunday, and no way to take any exams for a while. I think I can take one next January hopefully. I hope you can get full markes soon. Candyman-san. I always doubt such "speed learning" things. If you are talented for foreign languages, you could probably pick them up just by listening, maybe. But in this matter, I totally agree with English monster. As he puts it, listening practice means to listen to the sounds you can't get over and over again, and see the script, and then listen again until you remember the sounds. It could take forever, but I think it is only the way you can improve your listening comprehension. [No.1941] 2011/05/10(Tue) 14:05:17 |
